Director of Family Ministries

Organist & Accompanist

Asbury UMC is searching for a gifted part time staff member to lead the congregation in music and worship for all worship services through the use of the Johannes Klais Organ and the Baldwin Baby Grand Piano.

The organist/accompanist provides musical support and content for all worship services, including weddings, funerals, and other church/community events as needed. The organist in cooperation with the Pastor and music staff will lead congregational singing, accompany the church choirs, soloists, and assist in the design and provision of appropriate musical offerings for worship.

Asbury UMC is searching for a new part time staff member to develop and guide families in their discipleship journey.

The Director of Family Ministries is responsible for administration, supervision, and leadership of the Family Ministries at Asbury United Methodist Church. This person will lead the planning and execution of Family Ministries in collaboration and consultation with the pastor and the Faith Formation and Education Committee.  The primary charge of this position is to envision and bring to life a vibrant Family Ministry that empowers households to grow together as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Adult Choir Director

Asbury UMC is searching for a new part time staff member to lead our adult choir in spiritual growth while providing praise during the Sunday Worship Service.

The Adult Choir Director is responsible for providing spiritual, organizational & musical leadership to the Adult Choir. The Choir Director should be committed to the development of an adult choir that is able to sing various musical styles during the traditional worship music program during Sunday morning, and other special worship services as needed. The primary responsibilities include leading & directing the Adult Choir and organist/accompanist. The Choir Director works in collaboration with the Pastor and other music staff members regarding worship planning.

Bell Choir Director

Asbury UMC is searching for a new part time staff member to lead our bell choir in spiritual growth while providing praise during the Sunday Worship Service once a month through the school year and for Christimas and Easter.

The Bell Choir Director is responsible for providing leadership in handbell music. The Bell Choir Director should be committed to the spiritual and musical development of the handbell choir that is able to play/ring during the traditional worship service and other special worship services as needed. The Bell Choir Director works in collaboration with the Pastor and other music staff members regarding worship planning.
