Spend the day with main researcher Kathy Baldock explores laying a firm foundation from which Bible verses associated with same-sex behavior are investigated.

Kathy says,

“While teaching, I create a timeline giving the participants the feeling of discovering information along with me as we progress through time together. We begin with the understanding of human sexuality and the social/sexual structures between men and women in ancient cultures and progress to modern-day. Along the way, participants will understand the influences on cultural and religious views about same-sex behavior from  several points of view: science, governmental and legal impacts, cultural changes, psychoanalysis, and the merger of politics and religion."

1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture is a feature documentary that follows the story of tireless researchers who trace the origins of the anti-gay movement among Christians to a grave mistranslation of the Bible in 1946.

It chronicles the discovery of never-before-seen archives at Yale University which unveil astonishing new revelations, and casts significant doubt on any biblical basis for LGBTQIA+ prejudice. Featuring commentary from prominent scholars as well as opposing pastors, including the personal stories of the film’s creators, 1946 is at once challenging, enlightening, and inspiring.
