Rev. Katie Osier, Pastor

Rev. Katie Osier was appointed to Asbury in 2022 after serving Greensburg UMC in the Canal District in Green, Ohio.  She is married to Eric, and they have two children. Katie grew up in North Canton, Ohio.  She majored in Music (bassoon) and Elementary Education at Otterbein University, and received her Master of Divinity from Duke University’s Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina.  Her ministry strengths include mission, vision, and families. Katie has a passion for the arts, baking, and Duke basketball. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends by the water and lighthouses, as well as catching the latest Marvel movie or Disney+ show.

Peter Baylis, Lay Leader and Sunday School Singers

Peter received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education along with a minor in History and Religious Studies from St. Joseph’s College located in Patchogue, Long Island, New York. Upon graduation Peter earned his Master of Divinity Degree form the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, with a concentration in Worship and Christian Education. While in seminary Peter worked in the Early Childhood Center which was located on campus. After completing his masters, Peter was employed by the Westerville City School District teaching Second Grade and retired from Westerville after completing a successful teaching career. While at Westerville Peter earned his Master of Early and Middle Childhood Education degree from The Ohio State University. Peter served as co-chair of several curriculum committees in Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies and also served and led local building committees.

Peter leads the Sunday School Singers. He also sings in the Adult Choir and is a ringer in the Hand Bell Choir. Peter is currently in the process of learning and perfecting the Godly Play materials which is Asbury’s current Sunday School curriculum.

Rev. Carol Ann Bradley, Director of Music and Organist

A native of New Jersey, Carol Ann Bradley has a Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from Rutgers University and a Master of Sacred Music degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She has been organist/choral director at churches in New Jersey, New York, and Wisconsin as well as a middle school music teacher (Springfield IL) and instructor at the College of St. Rose (Albany NY) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She served as Minister of Worship and Music for North Broadway United Methodist Church in Columbus (1976-2008). She was the worship service planner, organist, and director of 10 choirs for adults, youth, and children. For 20 years Carol Ann was the organist for the West Ohio Conference’s annual gathering at Lakeside and the director of the Conference Ministers Choir and Jubilate, the conference youth choir. In 2000 Carol Ann was ordained as a deacon in the United Methodist Church. She also served as parish organist/music director for Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Grandview Heights (2009-19). Carol Ann joined our staff as organist in January 2020, and as Director of Music in January 2022.

Rev. Kara Jones, Intertwine Youth Ministry Collective

Kara has been serving professionally in youth ministry since 2001 in a number of denominations and churches in Central Ohio.  She is an ordained Deacon (clergy) in the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church and is the founding youth pastor of Intertwine Youth Ministry Collective which partners First Presbyterian Church with William Street United Methodist Church, Zion United Church of Christ, and Asbury United Methodist Church. Kara has a Master of Divinity degree and a Master of Arts in Counseling Ministries degree from Methodist Theological School in Ohio.  Kara loves engaging in faith conversations, particularly with middle and high school youth.  In addition to serving as youth pastor of Intertwine YMC, Kara is also the community minister and manager at Common Ground Free Store Ministries and teaches private music lessons at Delaware Music Center.  Kara’s hobbies including indoor rock climbing, kayaking, and stunt-kite flying.

Natalie Ritchie, Director of Sunrise Singers

Mrs. Natalie Ritchie holds a Bachelor of Music Education in Vocal Performance from Otterbein University and a Master of Education in Leadership and Organizational Change from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Throughout her education, she has been active both as a member and a teacher of choir, show choir, musicals, voice lessons, piano lessons, and dance. Currently, she is the Elementary General Music Teacher at Conger Elementary here in Delaware. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Brodie and Benji. They have been members of Asbury since 2017 and Natalie has been an active participant in Asbury's Music programs including as a member of Chancel Choir and as a featured vocalist.

As of September 2021, Natalie serves as the Director of the Sunrise Singers and is looking forward to sharing music with the youth of Asbury! 

Tom Szymkowiak, Custodian
