Music at Asbury

  Ephesians 5: 19 ~  Speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord.

Our music groups are open to everyone. You are welcome!

The Alleluia Choir  ~  Grades K-2 , Peter Baylis, Director

This choir open for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 4:15 pm.

The Junior Choir ~ Grades 3-8

The Junior Choir is open for singers in grades 3-8. Rehearsal is on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-5:15 in the Great Room. The choir sings for worship services approximately once a month. The choir also sings at the Christmas Eve and Easter Vigil services. In the Spring, the choir typically presents a musical during the morning worship service.

Teens ~ grades 9-12

Teen singers in grades 9  through 12  sings with the Chancel Choir. Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:15 pm as well as Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. Schedule modifications are made when necessary.

The Chancel Choir  ~High School– Adult

Singers from high school to adult enjoy participating in the Chancel Choir.  Rehearsals include Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:15 pm and Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:25 am. The choir sings two anthems on most Sunday mornings, in addition to the 8:00 pm Christmas Eve service. The Chancel Choir also participates in additional worship services to include  Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Easter Vigil.

The Asbury Bell Choir  ~ High School – Adult

Asbury’s bell choir is for ringers from high school to adult who are music readers. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7 pm. The choir plays for worship several times throughout the year, as well as Christmas Eve and Easter services. The Bell Choir also participates in the Delaware Handbell Festival held at Ohio Wesleyan University’s  Gray Chapel at 7 pm on the Sunday evening before Thanksgiving.

Asbury Organist  ~ Reverend Carol Ann Bradley

Reverend Carol Ann Bradley is Organist at Asbury United Methodist Church where she enjoys playing the 25 rank Klais 3 manual tracker pipe organ. She also serves as an accompanist for the various church choirs and soloists.
